Brook Tomka is the 3rd and 4th grade teacher. The 2025-2026 school year marks her 3rd year at St. John Neumann.
Mrs. Tomka and her husband, Steve, have two sons and three grandchildren. She holds an Elementary degree from Wayne State College. Her teaching journey began as a substitute teacher in various schools before she dedicated over 18 years to managing and teaching aquatic and Red Cross Programs. Driven by her passion for education, she has returned to the classroom, where her heart finds its true joy.
In her free time, Mrs. Tomka cherishes time with her family and friends, loves outdoor activities, coaches gymnastics, and helps on the farm. Her go-to-meal is chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. She finds comfort in Christian music, with “Amazing Grace” holding a special place in her heart. A guiding light in her life is Ephesians 4:32, urging kindness and compassion towards others, inspired by Christ’s forgiveness.
