Miss Durkop

Allison Durkop is the 5th and 6th grade teacher at St. John Neumann. The 2026-2027 school year is Miss Durkop’s first full school year as a teacher. Early in her high school career, Miss Durkop felt the calling to be an educator, and began working with school aged children whenever possible. Miss Durkop has worked with children in a variety of settings from teaching daycare classes to instructing swimming lessons. Miss Durkop’s college career began at Central Community College in Columbus, then transferring to Wayne State College to continue to pursue a degree in education. After student teaching in kindergarten and K-2 special education in Columbus, Nebraska, she graduated from Wayne State College in December of 2025. Through the spring 2026 semester, Miss Durkop substitute taught at SJN and other area schools. 

Outside of school, Miss Durkop enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Summer is Miss Durkop’s favorite season. The outdoors is one of her favorite places to be, and she enjoys activities such as swimming, boating, and sitting around the fire. When not outside, Miss Durkop likes to read, color, sketch, listen to country music, and watch movies with her house cat, Willa. Miss Durkop’s go-to snacks include chips and salsa and trail mix, and her favorite sweet treats are dark chocolate and ice cream. One of her favorite ways to worship is by praying the rosary.
