Mrs. Ann Prokopec is not only the 5th and 6th grade teacher she is also St. John Neumann's Head Facilitator. The 2025-2026 school year is her 27th year being at St. John Neumann.

Mrs. Prokopec is married to Bob and has two sons. Both sons are out of school. Tim and his wife, Jenna, have a son, Reid, and a daughter, Parker. Then her other son is Kevin and his wife Anglea live in Clarkson.  She graduated from Kearney State College. Ann has always wanted to teach ever since 2nd grade. However, she said that if she wasn't teaching anymore she would want to work with computers. She would want to organize, program or even work on data and designing. When she isn't working on her countless number of projects she is heading she loves to be with family, go walking or just be outside. Her favorite dream vacation would be to go to Ireland. If you would ask anyone in the school what Mrs. Prokopec's favorite candy bar would be you might have some different answers. However, if you ask anyone that is or was her student they would all say it has to be Snickers. She also likes Snickers Blizzards. Her favorite subject to teach is math.

Ann has many favorites other than Snickers and math. Her favorite movie is between either Courageous or Fireproof. Many will recognize her favorite book, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. Her favorite hymn is On Eagle's Wings, "Even though it makes me cry- happy and sad tears," she says. Her favorite bible story is the Easter Story and Resurrection. When she is able to eat her favorite food it has to be Mexican. She likes loaded nachos and burritos. When she was in school she liked math. Her favorite thing to do during recess was, "Andy I Over- We had a garage on our playground and would throw a rubber ball over- if someone caught it you ran around the building and tried to catch someone."
