Spring: March 23-May 8
While FAST has many assessment options, there will still be times that you utilize measures beyond FAST. This list is truly the TOOLBOX for progress monitoring at SSD - has all possible recommended measures. Use this document to see other SSD approved progress monitoring assessments.
2nd-8th grade students with reading and math goals are REQUIRED* to be screened.
Students with reading goals: aReading
Students with math goals: aMath
It is strongly encouraged to screen 9th-12th grade students with aReading and/or aMath (especially if you teach parallel/replacement classes).
*exceptions may be made for students with skills at pre-academic level
K-8
The SSD expectation is that SSD staff working in K-8 settings are collecting progress monitoring data & participating in data teams.
Additionally, it is an expectation that any student with a reading, written expression, and/or math IEP goal in grades K-8 should be assessed using at least one of the SSD approved progress monitoring tools (including FastBridge) on a regular basis, as appropriate (typically weekly but with alternative options depending on the assessment tool).Â
9-12
The SSD expectation is that SSD staff working in high schools are collecting progress monitoring data & participating in data teams. Staff are encouraged to use listed progress monitoring tools as appropriate (especially when tracking progress of basic literacy or math skills).Â
