Travel Itinerary

NOTE:  FILL OUT THE FORM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE WITH ALL TRAVEL INFO

December 26, Drop-Off and Intake Day:

• All students must arrive between 1000 and 1500 on December 26.

• All hands will report to the THIRD DECK of King Hall (Building 291) at Naval Station Newport on December 26.

• The uniform of the day on check-in day is Navy Working Uniform (NWU) Type I or III

• DO NOT travel in uniform on airplanes, trains, or buses. This is a USNSCC rule. You can be in uniform when waiting to be picked up because you are now "on duty."

• Driving:

  • Directions can be found on the Where and When page.

  • Naval Station Newport is a military installation with very strict access controls. If NOT authorized to access a military installation, then Cadets may be dropped off by Gate 1.  A shuttle will be waiting or you can contact our Duty Officer at 781-898-4685 to be picked up.

• Shuttle from TF Green Airport:

  • We expect to have shuttles from the airport to Naval Station Newport.

  • Pick-up times will be 11am and 2pm (later on an as needed basis). 

  • Please complete the online form at the bottom to get on the shuttle list.

• Rideshare/Personal taxi: 

  • If you arrange your own transportation to the base, instruct the driver to drop you off at Gate 1.

• • When you arrive, please call our Duty Officer at 781-898-4685 and request a pickup at Gate 1.

• For Cadets traveling by commercial air, bus, or train:

  • Do not make any reservations until your billet is APPROVED in Quarterdeck.

  • Please make all commercial air reservations into and from T.F. Green Providence Airport (airport code "PVD.")

  • You are hereby advised to purchase REFUNDABLE airline tickets. There is always a possibility that between now and December 26 this training will be cancelled or the dates changed.

If you are traveling alone by air, train, bus, shuttle, taxi, or rideshare then please note this in the form below so we know where to get you.

January 1, Graduation and Pick-Up Day:

• All students must depart after collecting their gear at 12:15pm on January 1.

  • Naval Station Newport is a military installation with very strict access controls. If NOT authorized to access a military installation, then Cadets may be picked up at Gate 1 and call us to get you. OR, you can request one-time base access for a driver and vehicle passengers over 18 years old. We need to collect this information for a ROSTER which must be available for Security 10 days before our course starts. CUT-OFF IS DEC 14th TO BE ON THIS ROSTER.

  • Pick up location is Gate 1. Shuttles to the gate will begin at 12:15pm.

• Shuttle from TF Green Airport:

  • We expect to have shuttles from Naval Station Newport depart at 12:15pm

  • Please complete the online form at the bottom to get on the shuttle list.

• Rideshare/Personal taxi: 

  • If you arrange your own transportation from the base, instruct the driver to pick you up at Gate 1 at 12:15pm

• For Cadets traveling by commercial air, bus, or train:

  • Departing flights, buses, or train reservations should be made no earlier than 2pm out of T.F. Green Providence Airport (airport code "PVD.")
