As Literacy Information Technology Educators, we are constantly learning new skills and sharing them as much as we can.
We know as librarians that our students feel comfortable on computers, but we also know that they are not proficient at discerning what they find on computers, judging what tools to use for particular needs, how to use tools well, how to produce quality products, how to use intellectual property responsibly, and how to be safe online. We have been fortunate in that the district has sent two librarians to the annual TCEA conference for technology teachers. We want to continue this trend.
