8th Graders Take Science STAAR 

Begin preparing for the STAAR early.  Students should review information in small sets.  Using the strategies we show you in class will help you organize your thoughts, retain information and develop beneficial critical thinking skills.  Science STAAR is heavily dependent on graphics like illustrations, diagrams, graphs and charts.  Many test items include graphics and the answers are embedded in these graphics.  And, many test items require students to look at data and select the best conclusion or ask the student to determine which conclusion is best supported by the data.  Science STAAR is designed to assess students knowledge of science concepts and use process skills to draw conclusions or make inferences.  Good luck and may the force be with you!
