In-Field Days

Artists by profession must go out in to the world and draw, photograph and document the world around them.

In-field days are when we will be going on a location setting, usually outside to either photograph or draw a subject and or assignment. You will need to dress accordingly and be prepared and ready for the weather. This means wearing comfortable clothing that you can sit on the ground, walk on paths, and work. I am a big advocate of leaving the classroom. A good idea is to leave a light coat and proper walking shoes in your locker so you will be able to work efficiently and to your fullest potential. You also need to bring your camera, and all the supplies that come with being prepared for photography assignments. 2-D art supplies are available in the classroom. Please be prepared for these days as we experience all types of terrain and weather.

In lab /studio days are for photography students using the computer lab for photographic uploading and applications or 2-D students in the art studio. We do not have a darkroom, therefore all our developing techniques are done within this time. It is very important to use these days efficiently.

Due Dates: All art and artists have expected due dates. From Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel, and or Ansel Adams shooting for a gallery show, they require due dates. You will be given ample time to complete assignments, however these are very important to learn.
