GREAT MILLS HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS - EXCELLENCE IS NOT OUR GOAL...IT'S OUR STANDARD!
The Great Mills High School Choral Department boasts nearly 100 singers in five ensembles this year including Aurea Armonia (TB Chambers), Bella Musica (Treble Chambers), Equivox (Accapella Club), Jolie Melodie (Mixed Choir - Chorus 1), Seranata Mavu (Treble Choir - Chorus 2) and Amarillo Vert (Mixed Varsity Chorus).
The choirs regularly perform 3-4 concerts
each school year and are actively
involved in the community performing
dozens of performances yearly at public
functions such as Rotary meetings,
County Fair, and community caroling.
Our singers are regular members of
the Worldstrides Carnegie Honors Choirs, NAfME All National
Honors Choir, Maryland All-State Honors Choirs, Southern
Maryland Tri-County Honors Choir, St. Mary's
County All County Honors Choir and receive
“Superior” ratings at District and State
Solo & Ensemble Festival. The program
has seen support from the school’s staff,
students and the community at large
and is proud of it's tradition in choral music.
