Introduction
It’s hard to imagine a time in our country’s history when women didn’t have the right to vote. It took years of effort by women like Susan B. Anthony to get women that right through the passing of the 19th Amendment. Susan B. Anthony had a history of bringing about positive changes in society. She eventually focussed those efforts on gaining women the right to vote. Unfortunately, she never lived to see the passage of the 19th Amendment, but her efforts contributed to its passage. Susan B. Anthony was an important figure in earning women the right to vote in America.
