With over 40% of HS students, who use tobacco and/or nicotine delivery devices, indicating they want to quit it is an important time to share cessation options. Middle school students need these options also.
Text program specifically for e-cigarette use (available for ages 13 and up).
The Truth Initiative - access the new e-cigarette quit program, users can text “QUIT” to (202) 804-9884. Users can also enroll in This is Quitting or BecomeAnEX®, free digital quit programs from Truth Initiative that integrate the text program.

Facilitated Face-to-Face Option - American Lung Not on Tobacco (NOT) program (MS and HS Students)
Guided 10 week Youth Quit Program
American Lung Association will train adults to be able to provide these services within your school or community
Done in a small group setting
N-O-T for Me -NOT for Me is a self-guided, mobile-friendly online program that leverages the American Lung Association’s Not On Tobacco (N-O-T)® program to help teens break nicotine dependency, whether they vape, smoke or use other tobacco products.

The American Indian Cancer Foundation (AICAF) collaborated on this program. AICAF organized focus groups with tribes to gather input on building a successful American Indian program, and that input informed the development of our American Indian Program. It covered topics such as balancing support for quitting commercial tobacco while respecting traditional tobacco use, communicating effectively, building trust, and the importance of Elders in American Indian culture
