This year all students in the Siren School District in grades 6 - 12 will continue working on and developing their Academic & Career Plan, also commonly referred to as their ACP. An Academic and Career Plan is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills.
Xello is the software system that we will be using to help each student begin to explore possible careers. beginning in Grade 6 and culminating in Grade 12. I am to continue to have this program available to students. It is a web-based self-exploration and planning program that includes skill and interest assessments, post secondary school information, job market information and much more. There are many tools within the program to help students figure out - not only where they want to go after high school graduation - but also to help them find careers that will be a good fit for them based on their interests, skills, and abilities. In addition there are tools that will help them figure out how to reach their goals.
All students are welcome to sign in, view their information or explore all of the options available within the system at any time.
Use your google login information.
You will see that there are also a number of subtitles listed on the left that will assist you in searching for information about colleges, applying for college, finding information on financial aid, information about the different branches of the military and additional career exploration websites. Please feel free to explore them on your own.
