Mendenhall Elementary School holds 2024-25 Bookmark Contest
The Mendenhall Elementary School Library held its seventh annual Bookmark Contest. The contest was open to all students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Every student received an official blank bookmark in December. The students had the month to create a bookmark that promoted reading with words, favorite character, and/or pictures.
Certificates were awarded for first, second, and third place in each grade. The first place winners will also receive a new book from Mrs. Crawford, MeES Librarian.. Each year the competition gets harder. The judges had a tough time choosing these winners because the submissions were so creative, but they were looking for children’s artwork that expressed the desired required elements drawn by children. Let’s continue to promote reading, as well as the arts with our children.
