Rosin – If you lost yours or if it broke, please purchase a new one.
Shoulder Rest (Violins and Violas only) – We ask that all 5th graders upgrade to either to a Kun, Viva, or Everest hard molded shoulder rest. Please note that they are adjustable between sizes. Most students will be in the violin ¾- 4/4 size. A 13-14” viola would be a ¾ - 4/4 violin size, and NOT a viola shoulder rest.
End Pin Stopper – Please check your rubber tips on your endpin and see if they need replacing. Cellists and basses, if you don’t have a Xeros endpin anchor, you may want to upgrade to one.
Folding Music Stand - Placing music on a stand helps students maintain good posture and position when practicing. Metal/collapsible stands are available and are relatively inexpensive. Students can keep their personal music stand at home to use when practicing.
