Submitting Assignments

You are required to submit all assignments and coursework electronically via Blackboard. Some of this work will be submitted to Turnitin, whilst other work may be submitted to the Blackboard assignment. This page provide helpful information for both types of assessment.

Submitting Assignments to Turnitin

Turnitin is a text matching service that trawls through billions of web pages, online journals, articles, publications and other assignments looking for any text in your work that may match other sources.

Submitting your assignment is easy to do and means that you do not need to come in to hand in a paper copy of your assignment. All assignments are marked anonymously and you should include a cover sheet at THE END of your assignment, which can be downloaded below.

The short tutorial below explains how to submit your assignment into Turnitin and contains clickable links to further information. Alternatively you can watch the video tutorial which is the same as the first tutorial but also contains verbal instructions.

Submitting other types of course work to Blackboard

You may be required to submit other types of coursework that cannot be submitted through Turnitin, such as scanned documents, practice evidence or media files. These will be submitted to the Blackboard assignment too.

Please visit this link for instructions on how to submit your work to the Blackboard Assignment box.

Alternatively you can watch this brief video tutorial on 'How to submit an assignment to Blackboard' below.

To submit a digital copy of your documents you will need to scan the relevant pages into an electronic format which you can then submit into Blackboard. If you don't have a scanner there are a number of apps that will turn your mobile device into a document scanner by using the camera on your mobile device to take a picture of a document, in order to create a file that you can upload it to Blackboard.
