Welcome to SFHS Wrestling Team
The coaching staff at Saint Francis are pumped that you signed up for wrestling for us this year. Our goal for every season is to get you bigger, faster & stronger throughout each wrestling season. This email has all the information you will need. If you have any questions you can stop by coach Meulman's office in activities (email toddmeulman@sfhs.com), coach Cobb's classroom room 111 (email davidcobb@sfhs.com), and coach Benjamin’s classroom in room 110 (email garrettbenjamin@sfhs.com) at any time. This email is just to welcome you to the team and give you some information. Sorry if you have already read this email before as some of you got my preseason email.
1st
PARENT MEETING CHANGE!!! We need to move the Parent Meeting to this Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 am. Our new parent program includes an open practice. We cannot do that in the room due to space limitations. We planned to try something new in the PAC, but the stage is full of sets for the play. Gyms are full with 7 basketball teams. So we are going to do something REALLY DIFFERENT on Saturday (it is going to be a surprise). Please mark your calendar for Saturday, November 23.
2nd
The uniforms …. Two years ago we changed the uniforms away from the old style singlets. This means the singlets have been replaced by a team compression top with shorts. These will be available for purchase once the season starts (See pictures here). FYI If you like wearing the singlets in competitions you still can.
3rd
You will need to get some wrestling shoes and headgear. Big 5 and Dicks are the closest to Saint Francis if you want to buy them in a store. Here is a link to where you can buy them online

I recommend these Asics headgear because of the chin cup strap —— White or Black are great colors.

Proposed practice schedule this year will probably look a lot like this. The varsity schedule is on the left and the JV/FROSH is on the right

MATBOSS
First you will need to go to the following url:
1. Go to the log in at the top of the page and click the link.
2. Click on the bottom link that says create a wrestler account.
3. Fill in the information. Make sure to use your full name as it will not let you in if it doesn't match with the current lineup. (Come by room 110 if you are having trouble)
4. Make sure you make a simple password that you can give to your parents and won't forget. This will allow for your parents to log in and watch your film and check your stats.
5. You need the team code which is RH9HZE
6. Once into the webpage you can look at the videos from the past 2 years. You can also check out the technique videos, under library that we have covered so far this season and will continue to learn. Each video is separated into Neutral, top, and bottom. Check back these will continue to update as we go through the season.
7. The other tab is links on what to start eating. We need to start cleaning up what we are putting in our body. Good healthy food in helps with a good healthy body and mind.... DRINK lots of water :-)
8. You can view everyones videos. Once you get your own videos you can post them as you want. However, do not post any videos that are not of you to any social media accounts EVER!
9. You hopefully have access to the app on your school issued iPad under self service. If you can't find the app you can still access through the webpage.
