Team Expectations

Criteria for deciding rosters will be as follows:

1. Performance in wrestle offs

2. Performance in practices

3. Performance in matches

4. Attitude in all aspects of the program (Including School)

5. Willingness to help others and being an active leader in the program.

6. Dedication to the team by attendance.

Academics:

All players are expected to be making satisfactory academic progress in each of their courses of study. SCHOOL COME FIRST! all players are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above in order to participate on the team. Reviewing a failure (F) grade in any individual course will result in temporary dismissal from the team until a passing grade has been posted on a 6 or 12 week report.

In addition, the following behaviors could result in temporary suspension from team competition:

1. Unexcused absences from classes.

2. In-school or Out of school disruptions or discipline concerns

Behavioral Expectations:

1. Respect the equal authority and decisions of all coaches and supervisors.

2. Respect and treat each other with the dignity appropriate of student athletes working toward a common team goal.

3. Act in a mature fashion both on and off the matt.

REMEMBER your behavior and conduct reflects the entire community of Saint Francis High School. Represent our school and community in a mature and honorable manner.

Attendance:

Each player is responsible for notifying the 3 on campus coaches to missing a practice or match. The student or parent should call even if the player is absent from school that day. Advanced notice is preferred whenever possible.

SNACKS:

Players require drinks and food before, during and after tournaments and matches. Make sure to help your athlete pack this food. As some of our athletes have a hard time thinking what they need to eat.

Concerns:

We are very excited about enhancing the wrestling program and looking forward to helping you become as great as you want to be.
