Garrett graduated from Clovis High School in 2004 and earned a Bachelor's of Science from the California State University of Fresno in Biology and Kinesiology.

Garrett has been involved in wrestling for the past 24 years. He is hoping to instill the same passion for the game in the student athletes as he had in high school when he was a 3x varsity wrestling for the Clovis Cougars. Grew up wrestling in Minnesota for the Litchfield Dragons starting at age 6 and moved to Clovis California in 2000. He is dedicated to doing everything he can to help each athlete improve their skills while still keeping the love for the sport. His strengths are management and program organization. Garrett is a current teacher at Saint Francis High School and live in San Jose with his wife Lisa.
