What: Learning the technical applications of the camera.
How: Going out to shoot manually, specifically adjusting the shutter speed and comparing the different photos to see visual differences.
Take four photos of the same object, changing the exposure of each one. Your settings will be as follows:
f/16 ISO 100 @ 1/500.

f/16 ISO 100 @ 1/60
f/16 ISO 100 @ 1 sec

1. Once you come in, turn your camera off and take your SD card out. Place your SD into the card reader.
2. Drag your photos to your folder on your desktop. Eject your memory card and put it back in the camera and return your camera properly.
3. Get the handout and drag to your desktop. (think: where do we get handouts?) You will need to open the handout in Photoshop. Right click and select > Open With > Adobe Photoshop.
The handout will look like this:
Take a screenshot (shift+command+4) to turn your cursor into crosshairs, which will allow you to click and drag around the portion you wish to capture. The screenshots should appear on your desktop.
THEN, drag them into a photoshop document and align them vertically.
Remember to hold down the shift key when resizing your images.
Your final product should look something like this:
When you are done, go to FILE > Save As > Period_A_Lastname Firstname_Shutter > Format: JPEG > Save to DESKTOP
Drag your finished assignment to PHOTODROP!!
