Directions:
Create a new file in PS
Width: 1 inch
Height: 11 inches
Google image search for photos that contain colors, patterns, textures that you feel represent you!
3. Create a new layer, by clicking the PLUS icon below your layers panel. Then, place your images onto your PS canvas in any order you like, but make sure they are touching one another.
4. Once placed in the "correct order," find your layers tab, in the lower right corner. Select ALL your layers by clicking on the bottom layer once, then holding down the shift key and click your top most layer once.
5. RIGHT click while the layers are selected and choose "merge layers" or "flatten image." You should now have only one background layer with all your images.
6. Locate the TEXT tool and select it by holding down the mouse left mouse button. You should see a drop down menu including Horizontal Type Tool, Vertical Type Tool, Vertical Type Mask Tool, and Horizontal Type Mask Tool.
If you don't see these options, go to HELP > Photoshop Help > type in "Vertical Type Mask Tool" and select it
7. Once the VERTICAL TYPE MASK TOOL is selected, click on the top of your name tag image, and type out your name or nickname.
Adjust the font style and size, so it fits perfectly inside your canvas.
8. Once your text fits in the canvas and you are happy with the font style, create a layer mask!
10. Now, make sure to save it...
File > save a copy > save to your desktop > title it "YOUR name Name Tag" > JPG > Save
Turn it in on Canvas!
