not everything in an image /composition has to be in focus!
Pick a location with LOTS of stuff in it!
Choose something small as your foreground subject... aka closest to the camera

a figurine/ a trinket
a small object/ ornament

PHOTO 2 Focus on the background.

Set your camera f stop to f/4.5... you will be adjusting the shutter and ISO to get a perfect meter!

This assignment will force you to use the selective focus capability on your camera. Using the hand placement below, adjust the red points of focus within your viewfinder to change the point of auto-focus. Place your thumb on the AF point selection, shown below:
