How: Using Prezi, see how famous photographers have used light to create a tone in their work.
Why: Because art doesn't just happen on its own!

Your next assignment is to recreate a professional portrait, with a focus on your lighting. There are different kinds of portraits, ranging from head shots, to environmental portraits, to posed or even candid shots.

Discuss your goal with me BEFORE you begin. Once I approve your plan, you may sign up for studio time if you need it.

Please turn in 2 files:

We will be working on this, as well as other assignments, for the next few weeks. It is your job to sign up for studio time outside of class, or use your independent class work time in the studio. Make sure to let me know and get studio your time approved.
Turn in:
1. Your final image alone: #_FF1_lastnamefirstname.jpg
2. The original image and your recreation next to it, on a 4x6 template. #_FF2_Lastnamefirstname.jpg
The grade for this assignment focuses on ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
Your grade will focus on how well you recreated the LIGHTING of the image. If your lighting is not the same as the original, you will lose points.
Depth of field, tonality, props, location, background, lighting, framing, make-up, styling, model choice, perspective, etc. are some examples of things that should be taken into consideration when you compose your piece.
