Why: It is important to know how to know how to present your work in it's best manner. Knowing multiple ways to manipulate a photo will allow you more diversity in your art.

ADJUSTMENT LAYERS are layers that adjust or change the way the image looks.
The best way to do this is to have it on a seperate layer that you can turn on and off.

Layer order matters. Select the layer you want to turn black & white.
then, click on the adjustment layers icon AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR layers

Scroll down and select > black and white.
you can make adjustments using the sliders
