  • September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF): program administered by the Department of Justice, provides financial compensation for certified 9/11-related physical conditions. It was permanently authorized in 2019, extending the claim filing deadline to October 1, 2090.

  • Enrollment and diagnoses: The number of enrolled members in the WTC Health Program has grown steadily, and in 2024, it experienced a record year for new enrollments.

  • The total number of 9/11-linked cancer diagnoses among responders and others reached nearly 48,579 as of September 2025.

  • More people have died from illnesses related to 9/11 toxic exposure than in the attacks themselves. As of March 2024, the CDC counted 8,215 deceased enrollees.
