The 5th grade social studies curriculum focuses on United States history. The year begins with ancient civilizations and explorers, then moves into the settlement and early political history of America. We study the Revolutionary War and the development of our Constitution. From there we move into westward expansion and end the year with the Civil War and Reconstruction.
