Keys to Creating a Great Book Trailer

Select a book you read and liked.

• Pick a book that has not been made into a movie. The trailer will be your vision of the book and once a book has been made into a movie, it is very difficult to find images to use in the trailer that aren't from the movie.

Look at other book trailers. (Go to the MNMS Library Catalog - click on title => find EXPLORE link => scroll down for Book Trailer link)

• Identify effective techniques and features you like the most.

Think like a sales person

• The goal is to entice people to read the book.

Plan carefully.
