Please check with your child’s classroom teacher for the days your child will be tested once the schedules have been released.

Grade 4 Science NECAP

During May students in grades 4 will participate in the NECAP Science test. We are hoping you will help us encourage students to give this annual test their very best effort.

The NECAP-Science test was designed to measure New Hampshire's new science Grade Span Expectations, or GSEs. The GSEs define the knowledge and skills a student should have mastered by the end of the following five grade spans: K-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-11.
Please encourage your students to get plenty of rest and have a good breakfast the night before the test. Thank you. Please call the school if you have questions.

Notice from the Food Service Program

The Derry School Child Nutrition Program would like to remind all students and families that student account balances should be paid in full by the end of the school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our kitchen at 437-4870.

Destination Imagination

Congratulations to all four of our DI teams. The Derry Sharks got 1st place, ASCLAC got 3rd and Baby Unicorn Seals finished 6th (all in different categories). The Smart Leprechauns K-2 division did not have scoring. The Derry Sharks and ASCLAC moved on to the state tournament on April 1st at Bedford High School!

At the State tournament the Derry Sharks finished 3rd place out of 11 teams in the division “In it Together”. The team’s two structures weighed in 31 grams and held 660 pounds, but the team ran out of time! They were 0.89 points away from 2nd place and going to Globals. (One more weight even 2.5 pounds). This is a great accomplishment for the team and Derry Village is very proud of them.

We are in the middle of our SBAC testing. Our students have been doing a most wonderful job with this assessment. Thank you for your support.

Once the results are complete parents and students will receive the results of these assessments in a readable and easy-to-understand format. Parents can use this information to better communicate with teachers and school administrators about their child’s success.
