Free and Reduced Price School Meals

All breakfasts and lunches for the school year 2021-2022 will be free regardless of your family's economic status. However, it is very important for you to fill out the application for Free and Reduced meals because the total number of qualified students helps the district qualify for the funding of other programs such as Title One.

Please fill out only one application and include all children who attend the 7 Derry Schools, Grades K to 8. Be sure to follow all the directions because omissions will delay eligibility.

***Pinkerton Academy is considered to be an Independent School Food Authority so we do not process applications for Pinkerton Academy Students, and you will have to fill out a separate application if you have a child who is a student there. Also, if you have an account with myschoolbucks.com you will need to open a new one for Pinkerton Academy.

Account Balances do not transfer to Pinkerton Academy. If you have a balance on your account and would like to donate, transfer, or request a refund, please contact me at the address below.

It is my suggestion that you send your application back to school in a sealed envelope, clearly addressed to my attention. The schools will then forward all of these envelopes and applications to my office at West Running Brook Middle School. Using an envelope will ensure that your confidentiality is protected.

You may also mail your application to me at the above address or drop by, and we can fill it out together. You may also scan your application to me at klubelczyk@sau10.org Photos of the application do not print well and are hard to read and may cause a delay in eligibility.

I would like to remind you that if your children were qualified last school year, they will remain qualified this year until October 10, 2021 or until your application is processed.

As always, if you have any questions about this or any other matters related to child nutrition, please feel free to contact me.

Recess

Grade levels will be attending recess together. The playground will be split up into four sections to include the playground equipment area, the back field, the back pavement area and the front pavement area. Each class will be assigned an area each day on a rotating basis.

Additionally, our amazing PTA, put together playground tubs filled with toys for each classroom. This way, we can ensure that each classroom cohort does not mix with other cohorts.
