Scholarships

Institutional Money

Most, if not all schools, tend to have institutional scholarships available for incoming students. Some schools will be very transparent about what money you might be eligible for by listing it on their websites, while others may want you to apply before they share that information. Some schools will require you to fill out an application for institutional money, while others will use your application to determine if you are eligible for anything. Check with each school you are interested in to see how they handle institutional scholarships and what their deadlines for any paperwork required may be.

Scholarships from Mrs. Bohnsack

Throughout the year, I get quite a few scholarships that come across my desk. This list will grow as winter approaches. Pick a day of the week to check this list to see if you are eligible to apply for any of the scholarships I receive. Remember, the more local, the more likely you are to win, so this is a great place to be searching. You can check this list here on the website, or it will be posted on the guidance office door and in English classrooms. All scholarship applications for these possibilities are located in the guidance office unless a website is listed.

Independent Scholarship Search Resources

Searching for scholarships is an individual, ongoing process that should happen throughout a student's senior year. Many scholarships become available and have due dates that vary from fall to spring. If you are serious about searching for scholarship help, you should start early and continue to search/apply as you make your way through your senior year. Attached is a list of helpful websites that can aid in scholarship searching. Most will ask you to fill out a personal profile. Once that is complete, they will notify you of scholarships that you may be eligible for throughout the school year. Remember- scholarships are free money. If an application has any type of fee associated with it, you should question it's integrity. Feel free to ask Mrs. Bohnsack for any help when filling out or turning in applications for scholarships. Aside from doing the actual search, I am happy to help out however possible.
