COLLEGE APPLICATION DAY @ ROCKRIDGE

I plan to have a College Application Day this year on Friday, October 8, periods 3, 4, 6 & 7. This will be an opportunity for seniors to schedule some supervised time to work on applications, and get any help needed from the counseling office. Also, I am always more than willing to help you individually with any college applications you are working on. Please email me so we can set up a time to meet if you need help. abohnsack@rr300.org.

COLLEGE NIGHT AT BLACK HAWK COLLEGE

BHC's college night is back! This is an even where the college brings in about 80 area colleges/universities/military for our area high school students to attend. The event is an open house, so you can spend as much, or as little time visiting booths as you choose. This year's college night is scheduled for Thursday, September 30 from (5-6:30 PM) in Building 3 at the college. See Mrs. Bohnsack if you have questions.

OPEN HOUSE OPPORTUNITIES

Listed below are open house dates for Illinois and Iowa State Schools. You will also see several popular private colleges listed. You can visit a college almost any day of the week. However, Open House Visits sometimes are a little more comprehensive for prospective students. They are also often held on holidays which can be helpful for your schedule. See Mrs. Bohnsack if you would like help setting up college visits, or need the paperwork necessary for a school excuse. Remember, you are entitled to 1 college visit and a junior, and 2 as a senior as long as you get the appropriate paperwork from the counseling office.
