Course Format

In-person course format:

This course contains many hands-on learning experiences, such as labs, manipulatives, and simulations. For each class day, the daily lesson plan slides will be posted in Schoology under the (MI) Medical Interventions Course at the top of the 'Materials' page. Schoology course folders will be organized by unit and then by date. Students will frequently be directed to the PLTW course website to access many virtual resources and lab instructions.

Log-in info:

STUDENTS: To access Schoology, students must be logged into their CRHS google school account and access it through classlink. Student accounts to access the PLTW website will be set-up during the first week of school. Additional in-person materials/handouts may be given in class when necessary. Students are expected to take notes in class (handwritten) as it helps memory retention, and can sometimes be used on open-note exams.

PARENTS: Parents will be given an email near the beginning of the school year to sign-up for the Schoology Parent Portal.

Absences: In the event that sustained virtual learning be necessary, alternate work will be available through Schoology. Further information will be provided by the district/school when those situations arise. Please notify Ms DeVoss of planned student absences prior to the date of absence, if possible, in order to help the student plan for make-up options.

Raider Time (AKA- Flex time) sign-up slots will be available for students to complete missed work, test retakes, and tutorials.
