“What is enrichment and what is its role at Caraway?”
This is the question that has driven many conversations on our campus over the past two years. We have taken the time to explore enrichment programs in and out of our district, we have evaluated the research on School Wide Enrichment, and members of our enrichment team attended a week long conference on the topic.
As a whole we realized that enrichment is any program which inspires new passions in our students, equips them with the skills to pursue these passions, and encourages them to work towards an innovative change.
Simply put, the role of enrichment at Caraway is to inspire, equip, and innovate.
Our realization led us to understand that at Caraway we already have a firmly founded enrichment program! The umbrella of enrichment includes many programs that are well established and respected in our community. The examples on this umbrella are just a few of the programs which we
feel fit the characteristics of an enrichment activity.
Before the school year started, the Caraway Enrichment Team met with the staff and shared our findings. We also introduced our newest enrichment opportunity, Caraway Academy. At the end of our meeting, there was the hum of electricity in the air! Our campus is excited about the future of enrichment in our community. We are ready to inspire, equip, and innovate.
Please be on the look out for information regarding Mrs. Bailey's first Coffee and Conversation event. The topic of the conversation will be enrichment at Caraway.
Check back next week to learn more about our newest enrichment opportunity, Caraway Academy.
