Admissions tests

Applying to the UK:

Many UK universities now use additional admissions tests as part of the university application process. Please check the entry requirements carefully. Tests are administered through a range of organisation, and their websites provides comprehensive information and practice material.

Applying to the US:

US colleges and universities are returning to standard tests as a requirement for admissions. For those that require a test, students can take either the SAT or ACT.

SAT Registration should be completed on the College Board website. Please keep up to date with registration and test dates. Riverside School is a SAT registered centre and offers the test in March and October of each year.

ACT Registration can be completed on the ACT website.

English Language Qualifications:

Non-native English speakers maybe required to sit an English language proficiency test as part of your application process. The two most widely accepted English language tests worldwide are the International English Language Test System IELTS  and Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL .

The British Council offer advice, preparation and locations to take the IELTS.  Free practice test provide comprehensive information about the TOEFL.
