Applying to the UK:
Many UK universities now use additional admissions tests as part of the university application process. Please check the entry requirements carefully. Most tests are administered through Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing, and their website provides comprehensive information and practice material.
Applying to the US:
Since the pandemic, most US colleges and universities have declared standard tests to be optional as a requirement for admissions. For those that continue to require a test, students can take either the SAT or ACT.
SAT Registration should be completed on the College Board website. Please keep up to date with registration and test dates. Riverside School is a SAT registered centre and offers the test in March and October of each year.
ACT Registration can be completed on the ACT website.

English Language Qualifications:
Non-native English speakers maybe required to sit an English language proficiency test as part of your application process. The two most widely accepted English language tests worldwide are the International English Language Test System (IELTS) and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
The British Council offer advice, preparation and locations to take the IELTS. There are lots of free online practice materials.
