3D Art Class

Course Description: The course combines the following classes to provide an opportunity for students to explore different three-dimensional art experiences. The first semester is spent trying a project in stained glass, clay and general sculpture. The second semester, the student may concentrate in an area of their choice.

    • Stained Glass (10-12) Year long, Fee: $45 (students will also be required to buy glass). Learn the copper foil method of stained glass fabrication and glass fusion.PRQ: Art I
    • Pottery (10-12) Year long, Fee: $40
    • This course is for those who wish to concentrate on three-dimensional art. Functional ceramics, the potter’s wheel, and additive/subtractive sculpture required. PRQ: Art I
    • Sculpture I (10-12) Year long Fee: $40
    • Sculpture One will prepare students to hone their interest in three-dimensional work. Students will be creating work with stained glass, ceramics (clay), and other materials. The course will begin with basic skill work in glass and clay. Later students will be doing mixed media projects and sculptures with other materials such as wood, foam, wire and natural objects.
