Unit 7: Color!!! Learning Objectives Students will demonstrate an understanding of basic color theory. Students will show skill with acrylic paint, mixing and blending colors. Students will critique and analyze a bit of art history by studying and emulating a famous work of art.

a. Pick image from notebooks provided, art magazine or web sites
i. Famous paintings can be found at the following links or in Art History text books.
b. Images must have a variety of values of different hues
c. If printed from a website, it must be high resolution at least 800px
d. You must be able to identify the artist and acquire enough information in order to write a report. (see below)
2. Print high quality color image

5. Paint with light, thin, underpainting color.
