Casey Langer Tesfaye, Project Manager III

Casey Langer Tesfaye was part of the RSS team from December 2016 to September 2022 as a Project Manager. Casey has an academic background in Psychology and Sociolinguistics and an unending love of research. She carries twenty-five years of professional research experience, having worked across a variety of environments, including medical research, nonprofit and academic research, and media ratings research, using a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods. As a manager and Lead Data Scientist at Nielsen (2014-2016), she worked across TV, Radio and Digital ratings methodologies, leading a team on the development of the Nielsen Family Website and improving practices for recruitment and translation for a variety of languages. At the American Institute of Physics (2000-2015), she managed a number of survey efforts, including annual surveys of physics degree recipients, a quadrennial study of high school physics teachers, and the Global Survey of Physicists. Casey also worked at the Council on Foundations (2000), where she collaborated on salary and benefit surveys, the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (1999), where she assisted epidemiological studies, the Johns Hopkins Hospital (1996-1999), where she assisted studies in Medical Psychology, and the Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedert Hospital (1996), where she assisted fMRI research and the Neuropsychology practice.
