What is it?
Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics (SVSM) provides an opportunity for students to foster identified interests in science and mathematics with its enriched program in a university research setting. SVSM is competitive entry by application only. Selected students participate in a rigorous, four-week academic program intended to reward and stimulate students who have already demonstrated their commitment to academic growth and development in science and mathematics. SVSM is a state-supported initiative and there are NO program costs for participants.
Who can apply? Current sophomores and juniors who have an interest in science/math/technology.
What are the requirements?
Applicants must provide:
Student application
Confidential teacher evaluation
Confidential counselor evaluation
Evidence of academic performance
