AP Chemistry

Welcome to AP Chemistry at RB! AP Chemistry has been offered for over 20 years at RB and it is awesome to see how the number of students interested in taking a second course of chemistry has increased over the years. This class is to prepare students not only for the AP test in May, but also to prepare for science in college. Most students report that after a year of AP Chemistry, their chemistry course in college is mostly review--that's what I like to hear! I like to think of it as "Advanced Preparation" Chemistry. I can't guarantee you'll get college credit, but I can assure you that you will be more prepared for any additional chemistry courses after taking this class.

A couple of key things to remember--the course builds on what you previously learned, both from your first year chemistry course and from earlier topics during this year. Each test will be over several chapters to help to prepare for the AP test in the spring, which covers the entire year. If you don't remember everything from sophomore year, do not fret! We'll review that material as we move through new topics.
