Welcome to the wonderful world of Chemistry! I'm Ms. Diane Kane, a graduate of Carthage College with a degree in Chemistry. I have also completed a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Lewis University in 1999. I have always enjoyed science and math, and as a fourth generation teacher, I believe this is truly where I should be.
I have been a member of the faculty at RB since 1996, with 6 years experience before that at Yorkwood CUSD in Monmouth, IL. During my teaching career I have also been involved with coaching basketball, track, ACES Academic Challenge (formerly called WYSE), and dramatic productions. Currently I teach AP Chemistry, Conceptual Chemistry, and Chemistry Honors. In addition to that I am one of the coaches for the ACES team and part of the production team for plays and musicals. In my free time I enjoy visiting family and friends, photography, playing guitar and singing.
You will find information here about the courses as well as extra-curricular activities I am involved with at Richmond-Burton. Click the 4 lines at the top left corner of the page to see more information.
