Can You Lift a Book With Air? Take the Lift A Book With Air Challenge!!!!!!

We have been finding evidence in class that air is a thing. Air is a form of MATTER.

Our evidence was found when we used air to move objects.

• Even though we can't see it, air is there.
• We even saw that air is a thing when we forced air into balloons...and they changed!
• The scientific rubber air trapper (balloon) stretched out and the size got bigger! Air can be trapped in a space and expand objects!

But...can air lift heavy object like books?

The challenge:

Lift our Science Notebooks using just the following items:

1. bag
2. straw
3. tape
4. air

Some of us said, "Yes", and some said, "No".
