Today's Goal: Today I will be able to evaluate an expression containing values using substitution and following order of operations.
On this page, review the notes, go through the slides, watch the videos and do some of the practice sites. Take notes in you math journal which is shared with you in Google Classroom. Make sure to type the vocabulary in the vocabulary column. When you are done, click the "Take the Quiz" picture at the bottom of the page. BE SURE you are ready. You only get one chance at the Quiz.

Vocabulary
Algebra - A mathematical language that uses letters along with numbers. The letters stand for numbers that are unknown.
Variable - A symbol, usually a letter, used to represent a number. Any letter may be used as a variable
Algebraic Expression - A combination of variables, numbers, and at least one operation.
Evaluate - To find the value of an expression by replacing the variables with numbers.
