STUDY HALL AT HOME: Tired of arguing with your child about doing his/her homework? Set a time and place nightly for your child to work on school work. Never accept, "I'm finished with my homework," or "I don't have any homework." Students always have something they can do - read over notes, go online to study sites, etc. Set the time up when you are home so you know work is being done; do not allow electronics during this time, except to listen to music (remember, though, that if music is on your child's phone, they will be tempted to mess with their phone).
Before School & After School with me:
I can help students individually or in small groups whenever needed with some forewarning. I have had students text me through Remind and ask if I can come in the next morning to help them with homework. I'm happy to do that if I don't have a meeting.
BEFORE SCHOOL TUTORING:
Free tutoring is offered EVERY MORNING in room C204 for special ed students only. They can get help with any subject and there are plenty of adults ready to help. There is no need to set up an appointment, just have your student show up!
There are many opportunities for tutoring, so please have your student take advantage of them!
More info will come out from the counseling office for opportunities to get help from National Honor Society students and private tutoring offered by other teachers and paraeducators at our school.
