We do maths (Numeracy) 4 times a week, which involves learning strategies to solve math problems.
As a year 4 they will be solving problems by using basic addition, subtraction and simple multiplication facts and their knowledge of place value.
At home you can help by practising their basic facts, learning their numbers to 1000, counting forwards and backwards, times tables, telling the time or even baking, as it involves measuring.
