Narrative Writing:
Talk in third person using (he, she, they, names)
Use past tense (is, was)
Structure of writing should include - Introduction, Problem, Action, Solution, Ending
Introduction should hook your audience in and explain who, what, where, when, why
Don't forget all of the ways we can make our paragraphs effective
Effective Paragraphs:
One key idea (usually in the first sentence with supporting details in the next sentences).
Sentences are connected and build up the MAIN idea.
A variety of sentence beginnings. [Use something else instead of: Then, When, After...]
A variety of sentence types. [Statement. Question? Exclamation! "Speech"]
A variety of sentence lengths. [SIMPLE or COMPLEX]
Specific words (clever vocabulary) chosen carefully and used appropriately. [JUICY Words, Topic Words]
