Additions are working in the Early Additive Stage and aiming towards the Advanced Additive Strategy Level.

We are working on solving addition and subtraction problems by using mutliple strategies such as:

    • Splitting numbers to make Tidy Tens

    • Adding the ones and tens seperately when appropriate

    • Reversing problems and then using an appropriate method

    • Jumping the Number Line

We are learning how many tens there are in numbers less than 1000.

We are learning how to solve Multiplication and Division problems by:

    • Using our knowledge of 2's, 5's and 10's times tables

    • Skip counting

    • Making equal shares
