College Visits at PDS

Throughout the fall colleges and universities visit PDS to present their program to our students. Juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend these information sessions as they engage in the college search process. For juniors it is an opportunity to begin to gather information about various colleges and the college selection process; for seniors it a a critical opportunity to speak directly to representatives of colleges to which they intend to apply. For an updated listing of college visits link to the College Counseling page on our website.

Most large colleges and universities hold regional meetings instead of visiting individual high schools, and we inform interested students of those sessions as we are informed of them.

The director of college counseling meets with admissions representatives to introduce them to PDS and to gather information about the programs that may be good matches for PDS students. Attendance at the annual National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) conference also provides PDS with invaluable opportunities to establish and maintain personal contacts in the admissions offices of colleges and universities to which PDS students apply as well as with those we wish to learn more about.
