Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Scholarship
The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development is pleased to announce the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Scholarship application for the current Spring 2022 semester is now open. I am writing to ask your assistance in ensuring that students are aware of this great opportunity.
The Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Scholarship application is now available on the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment for Students page on MDHEWD’s website. The priority deadline is February 1, 2023 but applications will be accepted through April 1, 2023. Applications received between February 1 and April 1 will be awarded based on available funding. In addition to submitting the electronic form, to complete the application students must also mail a copy of the page that shows the adjusted gross income from the most recent 1040 federal tax form for the parent or guardian that claimed them as a dependent for that tax year. The mailing address is provided on the electronic application.

Barbara Allard Dual Credit Scholarship
The Barbara Allard Scholarship, established in 2021, has been created to honor the memory of Mrs. Barbara Allard, a long time teacher and friend of the Polo School District. Mrs. Allard was an English teacher and Music teacher, teaching English at Polo for over 30 years. She was a founding member of the Polo Educational Foundation. Her family wishes to celebrate her life and remember her dedication to her family, friends, school and community with an annual scholarship to a student pursuing to advance his/her education by enrolling in a dual credit college course.
Recipients of the scholarship will be chosen each year by the members of the Polo Educational Foundation based on various criteria outlined below. The award amounts may vary from year to year and will be paid directly to the higher education institution in which the dual credit course is offered. The award amount will be paid out for the upcoming semester dual credit course.
The guidelines and criteria for selecting the award recipients are as follows:
The recipient must be a Polo High School student enrolling in a Dual Credit course at an accredited and approved institution. Priority will be given to students enrolling in a dual credit English or Speech course.
Students are only eligible to receive the scholarship once.
Priority will be given to students who will be seniors.
Turn in to MRS. WALKER when complete

Caldwell County Foundation Dual Credit Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be A+ student (95% attendance, have a completed EOC score)
Applicant must be a junior or senior in a Caldwell County, Missouri high school
Can use the school’s common scholarship form or complete following application
