Objective: become familiar with lab procedures; learn to light bunsen burners, work glass
Lesson: Check for glasses, discuss Lab procedures & safety; Demo burners demo home explosion, Watch the demonstration and, if time, practice lighting the bunsen burner (both people on team). Both practice adjusting the air. If time permits, and you wish, you may make a glass elbow. Each person should do part of the project. Bring it to my desk when done. Watch out for burns! If time permits, review reading mechanical balances and graduated cylinders.
