Mrs. Barnett Dreyfuss’ Conceptual Physics classes are invited to attend a field trip to the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco. The Exploratorium is a unique hands on museum of science and perception. There are many experiments and exhibits found nowhere else in the world and they span all fields of science. Students will have the opportunity to explore the museum in its new location at a discounted student rate.
The trip is March 30th and students will take BART to the city. Students must meet at the BART Dublin/ Pleasanton (the Eastern one; the older one) at 8:45am and we will return to Pleasanton around 3pm. We highly encourage students to be dropped off. Parking fills up quickly and early at that station and there is a fee. Worse comes to worse it is less than a mile to the Hacienda Crossings shopping center.
After arriving at the Embarcadero station we will walk half a mile along the historic Embarcadero to Pier 15, home of the Exploratorium, in time for it to open at 10am. Students will be able to bring a lunch to eat at the museum or purchase food at the museum. It is a very nice cafeteria but it can be pricey.
Only 60 students will be able to go on this field trip. The per student breakdown cost of the field trip is $15; donations in cash or checks payable to PUSD will be accepted. Students need to bring both a completed Medical Release Form and Teacher Permission Slip Form in order to have one of the 60 spots.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask Mrs. Barnett Dreyfuss.
Field Trip worksheet (pdf or google doc) will be given to each student when they arrive at the museum
