8. Read Crash Test information sheet

Each group develops a plan (size of frame, shape of frame, sketch of vehicle, restraint system, and possible cushioning materials)

9. Types of wood joints/fasteners

Go over hand tools and proper usage

Wood that students use is 3/4” X 3/8

Go over cleanup expectations and assign jobs

Students begin work on frame

10. Discuss any problems - ideas for strengthening frames, etc

Continue work on frame

Begin building rest of vehicle

11. Review drill press

Introduce hole saw (how is it used in real life...)

Demonstration on how to use hole saw

Students may begin using hole saw

Demonstrate installing tires

12. Remind students to bring in cushioning
